The Volkswagen Golf is one of the most important cars that the German manufacturer has ever launched, which has gained ground and popularity around the world, achieving a record sales of more than 35 million cars since its launch in 1974.
It can be said that Golf was the one who started competing with hatchbacks in the world and has always been at the forefront. Today, Volkswagen continues to shine with the eighth generation edition of the Golf, Golf GTI and Golf GTE.
The eighth-generation Golf is characterized by unprecedented specifications, the most important of which is its reliance on digital technologies, communication technologies and easy operation.
Never before has any Golf model reached this level of sophistication, and with the introduction of hybrid models at the same time, this car opens the door wide toward introducing electric technology to the small car segment.
The digital interior adds a new dimension to the easy-to-operate concept. This car can reach a speed of 210 km / h with the help of driving assistance systems.
The eighth-generation Golf comes with a standard package such as 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, ambient lighting and keyless start.
Volkswagen entered the world of hybrid engines from the widest possible doors with the new Golf. The eighth generation is available with at least five hybrid engines, to be the first model based on this technology among the Golf cars. This vehicle will also witness the introduction of 48V technology, which relies on a belt starter generator, a 48-volt lithium battery, as well as the latest generation of highly efficient TSI turbocharged engines, which together form a new model for the mild hybrid drive in the eTSI segment.
The eighth generation of this top-selling car is also available with two hybrid engines and a rechargeable battery. The first new high-efficiency engine generates 204 hp, and the second GTE engine, which is dominated by sporty performance, produces 245 hp.
The two engines will be equipped with a hybrid drive system with a new built-in lithium battery with a capacity of 13 kilowatts, which helps the car to travel up to 60 km, depending on electrical energy, and temporarily convert it into a zero-emission car.
The new Golf is also the first Volkswagen to be equipped with an environmentally friendly feature, thanks to the Car2X system. This system receives signals from traffic systems and information from other vehicles at a distance of up to 800 meters, and then displays it to the driver on the screen.
The new Volkswagen GTE MK8 was distinguished by the new sporty, flowing exterior design, with new LED lighting with distinctive LED line and a distinctive blue line extending over the width of the new front bumper, the new distinctive lower ventilation opening to help cool the engine and the brakes, and the new GTE logo on the right side to express Car version.
As well as distinctive lighting in the background that adds an elegant sporty character to the car from the back, the distinctive rear bumper that hides the exhausts with the new diffuser of distinctive silver chrome, and the distinctive transverse reflectors at the bottom of the rear bumper to give attractiveness, as well as the distinctive GTE logo in the middle.
